It seems that it is slightly damp in most of Nova Scotia today, despite being a beautiful sunny day. A huge rainfall yesterday coupled with warm temps today that has melted much of the snow we got last week has caused flooding in many parts of the province. Here the river that is normally 250 m from the house, is about 10 m from the back door today. The house is built into a hill & elevated above the flood plain, so we shouldn't have to worry about water in the basement (hope not, since I live in the basement). A lot of other people in the province aren't so lucky though, and are dealing with soggy basements tonight.
